What is a CAS and when will I receive it? +
A CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) is an electronic reference number issued by your UK university once you have met all admission conditions. Without a CAS, you cannot apply for a UK Student Visa. You must apply for your visa within 6 months of the CAS being issued. Your Eduvisa advisor tracks this step closely for every student.
Do I need a TB test to go to the UK? +
Yes. Bangladesh is on the UK government's mandatory TB testing list. You must complete a tuberculosis test at a UK Visas and Immigration-approved clinic before applying. This is a fixed requirement — there are no exemptions for Bangladeshi applicants.
What IELTS score do I need for a UK university? +
The minimum IELTS score varies by university and program, typically ranging from 6.0 to 7.0 overall. Some universities accept alternative tests like TOEFL, PTE, or their own in-sessional English programs. The exact requirement will depend on the specific course you are applying to.
Can I work while studying in the UK? +
Students enrolled in degree-level programs at UK universities are generally permitted to work part-time during term time. The specific hours permitted and restrictions depend on your visa conditions. Our advisors will explain exactly what applies to your situation.
What is the Graduate Route visa? +
The Graduate Route is a UK visa that allows international students who have completed a degree in the UK to stay and work — or look for work — for up to 2 years after graduation (3 years for PhD graduates). It is one of the most valuable post-study benefits the UK offers. Eligibility and application are things we plan for from the beginning of your journey with us.
I've heard some UK universities are not accepting Bangladeshi students. Is that true? +
A small number of UK institutions have temporarily tightened their intake from Bangladesh as they manage compliance requirements set by the Home Office. This does not mean the UK is closed — many strong universities continue to actively welcome Bangladeshi students. Our team monitors which institutions are currently accepting applications, so you apply to the right places.
