How much RAM do I need for an AI agent on a VPS?
An API-based agent such as OpenClaw runs in 1–2 GB, but 4 GB gives headroom for a browser tool and updates. Add RAM for n8n, databases and especially local models.
How much RAM does Ollama need?
Roughly 8 GB for 7B–8B models, 16 GB for 13B and 32 GB for 30B-class models in 4-bit quantization. CPU-only output is slow; use a GPU for fast chat.
