Website response time (TTFB) checker

Check how quickly your site's HTML responds from where you are. Useful before and after a host change, caching or Cloudflare. Approximate, not a lab test.

Approximate: your browser times 1 warm-up request plus 5 cache-busted requests to the page. That time includes DNS, connection, server processing and download of the HTML (images and scripts are not loaded). Browsers hide detailed timing for other sites, so this is total HTML response time from where you are, not a lab TTFB. Run it from your visitors' city, and compare before and after changes such as caching, a CDN or a new host.

FAQ

What is a good TTFB?

Google suggests a time to first byte under about 0.8 seconds as a rough guide. Fast hosted sites with page caching often respond in 100–300 ms near the server.

Why is my result different from other tools?

This tool runs in your browser from your location and measures total HTML response time, including the network. Server-based tools measure from their own data centers.
