Paying for WordPress hosting from Bangladesh: bKash, local hosts and international cards

Quick answer: Most international hosts do not take bKash directly. Hostinger's help page (checked Oct 2026) lists only Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover and JCB cards for its Bangladesh store. So you have three options: (1) pay an international host with a dual-currency or USD-enabled card; (2) use a local Bangladeshi host that accepts bKash or Nagad directly; or (3) use a reseller that takes bKash and buys the plan for you, but only one you trust, because the account may end up in their name. For WordPress sites aimed at Bangladeshi visitors, pick a Singapore or BDIX server. On 21 Oct 2026, Hostinger Premium was $2.49/mo for 48 months and renewed at $10.99/mo.

Payment and price details are from the providers' official pages, checked 21 October 2026 (Asia/Dhaka). Payment options change often, so the checkout page is the final word. Some links are affiliate links (disclosure).

The payment problem, in one table

How you pay Works with international hosts? Pros Watch out for
bKash / Nagad / Rocket Rarely directly Familiar, instant, no card needed Usually only local hosts or resellers accept it
Dual-currency / USD-endorsed card Yes (Visa, Mastercard; Amex at some) Account in your name, auto-renewals work Bank annual limits, e-commerce must be enabled, FX fees
PayPal Some hosts Extra layer between card and merchant PayPal does not offer accounts to residents of Bangladesh, so this is usually not an option
Reseller (pays for you) Indirectly Pay in BDT with bKash Markups; account or domain may be in the reseller's name

When we checked, Hostinger's official payment-methods help page listed only Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover and JCB cards for Hostinger Bangladesh (prices in BDT). It listed no bKash, wallet or crypto option.

Option 1: international host + card

This is the cleanest route if you have a suitable card:

  1. Ask your bank for a dual-currency card, or a USD endorsement on your passport linked to your card, for international e-commerce.
  2. Enable online/international transactions in your bank's app. Many first payments fail because this is off.
  3. Check the annual limit your bank applies to international online payments, and the FX fee.
  4. Use the billing name and address your bank has on file. Approve the OTP or app prompt.
  5. Keep auto-renew on only if you're happy with the renewal price. Many hosts renew at several times the intro rate.

Option 2: a local host that takes bKash

Bangladeshi hosts often accept bKash and Nagad at checkout and offer local-hours support in Bangla. Many have BDIX-connected servers, which can be very fast for visitors on BDIX ISPs. Before you buy, compare them on the same points you'd use for any host:

  • Renewal price and the billing cycle the price assumes
  • Daily backups and how restores work
  • Real resources: CPU and RAM limits ("unlimited" plans still have limits)
  • Support: hours, channels and response times
  • Where the server actually is: BDIX, Singapore, or the USA

Option 3: resellers, safely

Resellers take bKash and buy hosting or domains for you. Some are fine. The risk is ownership. Insist that:

  • the hosting account is created with your email, and you get the login;
  • the domain's registrant contact is you, not the reseller;
  • you get the original invoice from the host;
  • you can transfer away at any time.

Speed tips for Bangladeshi visitors

  • Choose Singapore (or BDIX for local-only sites). Run our latency test on your own ISP.
  • Put Cloudflare's free plan in front of the site for CDN caching and SSL. See Cloudflare with your web host.
  • Use a caching plugin (LiteSpeed Cache on LiteSpeed servers, or your host's cache) and compress images to WebP.
  • Pick a lightweight theme. Mobile data in Bangladesh makes page weight matter.

Domains and email

Buy your .com from a registrar in your own name, and keep the login. For a .com.bd domain, use an authorised Bangladeshi registrar. For business email, Zoho Mail Lite ($1/user/month billed annually) is a low-cost option. See domain and email hosting.
